When you pull up to Dakota Prairie Lodge & Resort, we want you to leave all of your cares behind. Put down your bags, take in the sunset over the rolling prairie grasses, and enjoy a delicious meal of hearty South Dakotan cuisine. Then, settle down in the great room to enjoy a game of poker or pool with your hunting buddies. Head over to the fully-stocked bar to grab a drink – we’ve noticed that stories of the day’s hunt become more and more astounding when accompanied by some bourbon. When the night draws to a close, your comfortable bed will be waiting for you in a Lodge that pairs modern amenities with a rustic charm that makes all of our hunters feel right at home.
Our Lodge is a place where relaxation is effortless, and that’s due in part to our all-inclusive packages. We don’t want you to worry about a thing while you’re hunting here – so leave the details to us. Just book your hunt, tell us who’s coming, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Customer Service
South Dakota offers many venues for outstanding pheasant hunting, walleye fishing, prairie dog hunts, and waterfowl hunting, but our five-star customer service truly sets us apart. We strive to simplify your planning, make your hunting or fishing expedition amazing and memorable, and provide you all the comforts of home!
As with all our hunting and fishing packages, 50% deposit is required to hold your dates, and your deposit is non-refundable but valid for three years. We accept cash, checks and all credit cards.
WILD Pheasant Hunting
When you join us for an excursion hunting South Dakota’s famed wild pheasants, you’ll enjoy:
- Unlimited shells and sporting clays
- Three meals per day, plus all snacks and drinks (including adult beverages)
- Comfortable accommodations at our best-in-class Lodge that pairs a traditional atmosphere with modern amenities
- Three roosters per person per day, cleaned and vacuum-packed

Duck Hunting
When you bring your duck hunting crew to Dakota Prairie Lodge & Resort, you’ll enjoy:
- Unlimited shells for clays and ducks
- Three meals per day, plus all snacks and drinks (including adult beverages)
- Comfortable accommodations at our best-in-class Lodge that pairs a traditional atmosphere with modern amenities
- Up to six ducks per person per day, cleaned and vacuum-packed
- Professional guides and well-trained dogs (plus accommodations for your own dogs, if you choose to bring them)

All-inclusive duck hunting: $850 per person per day
Dove Hunting
When you enjoy wingshooting on the wide-open prairie of Kimball, South Dakota, you’ll get:

- Up to 15 doves per person per day, cleaned and vacuum-packed

Prairie Dog Hunting

Missouri River Walleye Fishing
When you enjoy the scenic Missouri River with Dakota Prairie Lodge & Resort, you’ll receive:

- Four walleye per day (possession limit of eight)
